Re: How do I chamge my username - 17 years ago
I can't because I only have a work e-mail add and when I try to re register it recognises the e-mail add and knows I have already registered, won't let me do it again.by ANON - Halkidiki

Yannis, oh god yeah, what a twat, saw him drive past, he did wave. Saw Marina very last day, she is working near Moudania now, or was then as Rodi is not with a holiday company anymore, just let them themselves. But did see her the last day, was weird but so lovely to see her. Would love to go back and spend time with everyone properly. Hopefully one day.by ANON - Halkidiki

Re: Albanians in greece.. - 18 years ago
Greek, I am not slating anyone, I love the Greeks, wouldn't have worked there 2 years if i hated them, just hate the fact that people keep slagging off the Albanians just from one experience or something they have heard. It is a stupid argument that keeps coming up and I just want to say that I love both nationalities and I have seen good and bad in both with my own eyes but it doesn't meaby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Albanians in greece.. - 18 years ago
Albanians are handsome and interesting!!! That is reality, not all like everywhere but they are lovely people, I have been to Albanian so you can't get more real than that!!!!by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Kalithea - 18 years ago
Hi, The Ageon Melathron is beautiful. I haven't seen the rooms but the inside is stunning, nice and cool in the hot summers, has about 3 pools all leading down to the sea and beach. The hotal has loads of facilities, gym, pools, beauty things and the food is lovely. I repped there for a few weeks in the first summer it was open and it really is beautiful. The night clubs are not near enouby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: fourka - 18 years ago
Fourka is a fairly quiet resort really. Very beautiful and a lovely beach but in the way of activities it is on the quiet side. The Aristides and Kanelis have a pool and garden area, nice appartments but I would head to the beach. The weather is usually nice, was 35oC when I went last sept but will start to get cooler in the evening heading into mid to end Sept. Be prepared for the possibilityby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Just back from Hanioti - 18 years ago
Will probably be about 5-6 euros in taxi. I heard about No No's but never went and the other I knew about was Babylon but not sure if still there and never heard great reviews. Best make a night of it and head to Kalithea.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Let is snow, let it snow, let it snow - in Halkidiki - 18 years ago
Nikos, where was the picture taken? I've seen pictures of Hanioti from several years ago when there was a lot of snow. Tourists never used to believe me when I told them it got cold in Greece in the winter.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Just back from Hanioti - 18 years ago
Oh yeah, forgot to mention it was open air. Kind of like a mini football stadium, seating all round the edge and the bar in the middle of the dance floor with big screens on the walls.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti- a party place for poeple my age (18)? - 18 years ago
Hanioti provides good water sports, beaches are nice although not fine white sand. Taxi to Kalithea will cost around 8-10 Euros if that. You will find people of all ages in all the bars really. I recommend the cocktails, not a fan of Tequila, urgh. Sex on the beach always goes down well, both the drink and the activity involving a fella (or girl). Not that I am encouraging such behaviour. Re: Just back from Hanioti - 18 years ago
I lived in Polichrono for 2 summers. So the clubs were visited fairly frequently. As I said Ahoy was my fave, the club that used to be privilage was good but not sure what it is like now, it is the most obvious of the clubs at the front with car park around it.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Just back from Hanioti - 18 years ago
Not as strict as England but they may still turn you away, so if you have proof take it with you but careful taking your passport as don't wanna lose that.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti- a party place for poeple my age (18)? - 18 years ago
You can go out and have a dance in most the bars in Hanioti and they stay open late nad there is quite a verity of bars but it is definately not clubbing central. There are some big night clubs about 15 min taxi ride away in Kaltithea but they are expensive, great but expensive. Average price for a drink is about 5 euros, but varies from bar to bar. Clubs charge 10 euros for any drink. I don'tby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: how is hanioti? - 18 years ago
The water park is on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, about an hours drive from Halkidiki. It is ok but not a lot for kids and not a lot of shade but the slides are good and a few different pools. Tour operators and local tour operators will do trips there or you can hire a car. It's called water land. Thats the one I know of, not sure if there is another.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: how is hanioti? - 18 years ago
Hanioti is fab for nightlife, loads of lively bars. Check out some of the previous threads for peoples comments on various bars. Good for shopping but shops are very much aimed at the tourists but can pick up some nice clothes and nic nacs. Town is lovely, really comes alive at night and the beach is lovely. You will love it.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Albanians in greece.. - 18 years ago
Oh my god, not this topic again. Girls, don't listen to one persons opinion about the Albanian men. Ok so there are a some they may try it on and pretend to love you for a passport to England. But if anything like my husband and his friends here, they hate England. It was the only way to be togther and as soon as we can afford it we are out of here. Believe me, it is not just the Albanian thatby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Just back from Hanioti - 18 years ago
Yeah there was when I went, about 10 euros and then once inside drinks were 10 euros for every drink, alcoholic or not so best to have a few before you go in. It's not cheap but great fun. There is a line of bars right by all the clubs so can have a few in there then head over, we used to go in around 12ish but the greeks leave it til later but you can go in earlier. Should be fine getting taby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: summer jobs - 18 years ago
Hi Jenny, Best thing is to e-mail some of the bigger hotels that provide such facilities as sports. Maybe supervise childrens clubs etc. Watersports you will need to have qualifications incase something should happen and you are not trained. Hotels like Ageon Melathron, Kassandra Palace, Athos Palace, Pallini Beach, Grecotel Pella Beach are a few of the larger hotels and may be able to helby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Just back from Hanioti - 18 years ago
The clubs are fab. my fave is AHOY, was still there summer just gone, the other was Privilege but it's changed names now. But all are great. The Greeks don't tend to get there til really late, like 1:00am. July will be busy so will be great atmosphere.by ANON - Halkidiki
Re: Just back from Hanioti - 18 years ago
Coming out the clubs at 3am can make it hard to get a cab, if in the town may not be such a problem but the clubs can take a while as so many people trying. Best is to get a phone number, they speak English, call them once out and they will give you a number, just look out for that cab number and get in. Height of the summer you will get one. They are limited start and end of season. Taxi fromby ANON - Halkidiki
Re: hotel atrium, pefkohori - 18 years ago
That is very true. I remember going just once for evening dinner which was nice and the complex did look nice but it is a bit of a hike up and down to the town.by ANON - Halkidiki
