Re: Damaged Hotels?? - 17 years ago
Hi - spoke to Billy this morning at the Hanioti Village Hotel, they are all ok, have lost their beautiful trees at the front of the hotel and had to empty the swimming pool to damp down the surrounds but up and running and hopefully will soon be back to normal. Can't wait to see them all on Saturday. Shirleyby shirleya - Halkidiki

It is a fair way, you would have passed our Hotel on your way to Chrousso, it's just on the outskirts of Hanioti, on the right before the Lesse Hotel and opposite a new supermarket (I think) which was being build last year!by shirleya - Halkidiki

Re: chrousso village any one tell me? - 17 years ago
Hi Inez The one I bought last year was all cut out and sewn with olives and leaves etc. It was a present for my sister and was oblong for a table which seats six. If I remember rightly, it cost about £40. There's a lot of work in them!! I didn't take too much notice of the Christmas patterns in the 30 degree heat. PS When you book the pirate ship, make sure it's the one with the crazby shirleya - Halkidiki
Re: chrousso village any one tell me? - 17 years ago
Hi Inez I have bought several tablecloths (and saw Christmas ones) in a shop in Hanioti. From the square with the kiosk behind you (where you can buy your phone cards and ciggies), it is on the street with the Italian restaurant on your left. It's on the right hand side (if it's still there). Shirleyby shirleya - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti - 17 years ago
We went on the Mount Athos trip the first year. It was enjoyable and am glad we did it but it's a very early start and we did see some dolphins swimming with the boat. We also went on the sunshine cruise with the crazy captain, that was a great laugh. We have also done the sunset cruise but unfortunately, it was a cloudy night, still good though. If you want some good snorkelling, contact Rby shirleya - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti - 17 years ago
Ollie If you are half board at the Hotel, Rula's cooking is excellent!! If you have missed breakfast then try Amethystos which is on the way to the square. The Old Tavern (also on the way to the square) do a great fillet steak. We always go the Garden Restaurant which is on the road off the square leading to the beach (by the supermarket) and have a lovely meal there under the pomegranateby shirleya - Halkidiki

Re: from airport to chrousso village - 17 years ago
Hello Di Ashamed to say that althugh this will be our ninth time in Hanioti, we don't do very much apart from chilling - in and out of the sun, eating and drinking. We are lucky and meet up with friends from previous years who also return. I do believe there is a water park not far from the airport and the only golf I know is the crazy one in Hanioti. Do try and make it to Pefkohori aby shirleya - Halkidiki
Re: from airport to chrousso village - 17 years ago
I don't go as far as you, I stay in Hanioti...but the scenery along the coast is lovely. The journey time can depend on the amount of drop offs to be done. You'll love Halkidiki....by shirleya - Halkidiki
