I am getting married at Kassandria Town Hall in September 2008, We are staying at the Sani Beach club, At present we do not have a definate number of guests though the maxium will be 25-30 i was wondering if there was anybody on here who has recently got married and stayed where we are and also what did you do for your reception after the ceremony itself, I'm not sure on what to do and any ideas would be greatly appreciated.......

Do the hotel lay on any type of afterparty?? and was you able to have some pictures taken on the beach??

Hi Alex,

We stayed at the sani beach club last may, got married at the town hall by the local mayor then had a small reception on the balcony over looking the beach (which was organised by the sani resort and thomas cook wedding co-ordinator Karen) we had about 18 people at the reception which was a small buffet,cake etc.
I must say the hotel could not do enough for us for the day and the rest of the holiday, you could not ask for a better hotel.

We got married at kassandria town hall in September 2007 and we stayed at the Sani Asterias Suites.
We had lots of photos taken before, during and after the ceremony and then went back to the Asterias suites for champagne, canapes and our wedding cake. The photographer took more photos and we had the option to have photos on the beach although we had them all around the harbour instead and various locations. We found the photographer made us feel really relaxed and will do what you want. Later in the evening we made our way to an Italian Restaurant where we had a four course meal. All this had been arranged by our wedding co-ordinator.

The Aserias suites aren't quite as 'relaxed' as the beach club so they may lay on some kind of party for you though.

You will find though you can probably relax about it all and arrange it when you are there...it really is that laid back!

Hi.We had our wedding in kassandria and stayed at sani hotel it was perfected .no hassles .no stress .just perfect .Hotel was brilliant this was 2004 all our guests still comment on the holiday and wedding how relaxed and problem free the experience was .Highly recomended

Hi i'm looking at getting married at kassandria town hall but was wondering whether anyone on here would know how far away it is from the Oceania Club and Spa hotel? also how long does the service last there? I am struggling to find out any info so any help would be great,thanks Sharon x

we just got back from getting married at kassandria town hall,not sure how far it is from your hotel but it took us 15mins in a taxi from aegean melathron kallithea.the actual service lasts only about 10 mins, the words are read in greek and then translated into english, the only words we had to say was 'i do' its not religious, more about family virtues which was nice.
inside makes a lovely backdrop for photos, and the little chapel outside too.

I have just booked my wedding in Kassandra Town Hall for June 2009 , we are staying at the Sani beach club (cant wait ) .

Any information about the hotel would be greatly appreciated , i would partically love to hear what kind of reception you had etc to give me some ideas and any info on the town hall etc etc

Also i have been reading threads regarding the documentation thats needed to marry in greece , i hear taking the doc's to the british embassy is quicker than posting them ? is there any one who has posted the docs ( instead of going there in person ? ) just wondering for time scales etc....

Hi Rachel,
we are due to get married on 26th Sept, regarding paperwork you can take it to the embassey your self but this can be an all day thing or for a fee of about £90 a translator called Androlloa can do it all for you, very handy if like me you have kids or work! One thing i will say is when you have to go to the registry office to get your wedding bans make sure they are valid until at least the day you fly back, we have had to pay double because our first lot run out on the 26th Sept and we dont fly home until the 2nd!

Hi Rach,
Am having a major nightmare at the minute, we had our cert of no inpediments done but because they have a 3 month valid date they expired on our wedding day itself so we had to re-do them, Sent all my paperwork off to Androlloua on Weds ad yesterday she called to say that because our certificate only had Halkidiki, Greece and not Kassandria, Halkidiki, Greece they may not except the so am not waiting for a call from first choice to tell me if they need re-doing.....
god knows what i'll do if they do!! We fly 8 weeks today!!

We're staying at sani beach club, heard fantastic reviews about the place, so as long as the paperwork goes to plan the excitement can then start!!!

Less stress this week paperwork sent to Androlloua just awaiting it's return!!
Ive spoken to Anna at Sani and we are going to arrange the reception when we get out there she sent me some menu's but i wasnt too sure on them, We have our pics booked through first choice though we also have a few cameras on hand,

How long have you got now? Where are staying??

Hi all, I will be getting married in Sani on 12th September 2008. We are staying in the Sani Hotel and have not yet decided what we are doing for the guests as they re-assure me that all will be sorted when we are there.

Im really excited now but just found out the actual wedding date and it is the day after everybody else arrives so hopefully there will be no plane delays and so on!

Does anybody have wedding pictures they would share of there big day at the Sani Beach Hotel?

Also can anybody recommend the best restuarantes to dine in for the wedding. We didnt want to stick to the hotel so have been looking at the Tomatoe Restaurante?? Any reviews or thoughts
