They are not destroying dog's to please the tourist's what you have to remember is that this is a tourist area, out of season the population drop's dramaticaly so the dogs are forced either to kill local livestock or face starvation. The local farmers as in the UK are struggling to make a living so do not have a lot of time for stray dogs, that kill their live stock(no matter how cute we think thby Phil.P - Halkidiki

Coach journey not bad but it takes about 2 hours depending on how many hotels they drop off at first (fourka is always last on the run!) in a car it takes 45 minutes. Hopefully you will meet no Germans in Fourka however there will be people from Sweden and Czech republic there for the first time this year (could be fun!) Good news is your hotel is all English so you can have a lie in and stillby Phil.P - Halkidiki

Steve hope you dont mind me asking but what did you have to pay for flights. I live in Manchester and would love to go out for easter but have always been put off by the lack of flights from Manchester (can't be bothered to drive to London and back) regards Phil.by Phil.P - Halkidiki
Re: car seats for young children - 17 years ago
Our Greek freind's method of baby transportation was to sit / balance the 6 month old on the passenger seat and drive as usual but hold the baby back in to the seat when breaking! (we were scared to death) but she never batted an eyelid. So I think you can safely say if they do have any law's in true Greek style no one takes any notice of them.
