Hi Julie thanks for your quick response,Great to know path has re-opened .when did you last stay at Hilltop , reading the reports it seems that breakfast is an egg and bread affair ,or is that being unfair. not that it will spoil our holiday as too many other places to eat in hanioti. we will be at Hilltop on 20 th sept 04 how about you.

Hi anyone going to halkidiki must go on the sunshine cruise. cpt mikalos will give u the best fun day of your holiday ever, dont go to market in nea moudania unless your looking for fruit and veg .Best resturant in Hanioti is LESSE BISTRO. No Hotels in any of resorts is further that 30 min walk from sea.

Hi Mandy and Dave
We were at the Hilltop at the beginning of May. The footpath was closed then, but I know that it has now reopened. We are going back at the beginning of July for 2 weeks. The Breakfast is not that bad, although eggs are on the menu most days, there is also a choice of cereal, rolls, jams etc. Tea, coffee and juice, I have had worse. You can eat there at night, but there are plenty of nice restuarants in the village, as you know. The hotel is very quiet. There is no entertainment at the hotel, they have a Greek night once a fortnight and the rep organises a quiz night fortnightly. There is a small bar, but this closes dead on 1 am. The rooms are quite small, but clean and a nice balcony. The hotel really is suited for couples and families looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, not suited for singles! If you want any more info. let me know. I will post more when I come back in July. Is it just you two going?

The Olympic Kosmas is just on the edge of the village - only a 10 min walk from the main Square.
Yes usually July here is extremely hot so be prepared! There are lovely beaches all around - in Hanioti, Pefkhouri and either side.
You will have to check the watersport prices when you come - they might go up in price for the main season - I dont know.
Crusoe Beach and Golden Beach are very nice - but you need transport to get to them!
I hope this helps
Cheers

please all visit the Long Island Cocktail bar (in the main square in Hanioti) and Waikiki bar (on th way back to the Angelo). Both fantastic bars, very chilled out, excellent service from friendly bar staff who will sit and chat to you when they are not busy! Also the owner of Long Island looks a little bit like Justin Hawkins from the Darkness (but extremely sexy with it!) and rides around on this massive harley davidson. We went there because of the lovely coctails with sparklers and all the trimmings, and also to ogle him!!! Say hi to Nina and Chris at the Waikiki!!! I wish I was going again....................!
