Re: Wedding at Sani Beach - 13 years ago
Hi Luan I can vouch for Julia and her husband as they did my wedding photos at Kassandria 2 years ago. If you have a look at the wedding album photos on the main page a couple of my wedding pictures on on there so you will get an idea of the quality of pictures. We had planned another photographer to do our pics but on arrival in greece he showed us piccies of a previous wedding he had donby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi Everyone Wow!! It's a while since I've logged on and so many posts, it sounds a bit frantic (lol). It's easy for me to say that now, but I know exactly how you are all feeling. It's a mad time and it will take you all a while to come back down to earth after your weddings. My experiance was that when you are in resort people can't do enough to help you with anything you need. I booked aby roydsio - Halkidiki

Re: Wedding advice needed! - 14 years ago
Hi Mariesa We got married at 11.30 - first ones in. I was up at 7.00am for breakfast and then to the hairdressers in the hotel (150.00 euro for 3 x practices and hair done on the day). We stayed at Oceania (same group as Sani) and the travelling time was half an hour to Kassandria. It's nearer for you from Sani. The guests left about 10.50 and got there in plenty of time on the coach. I got aby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi Mariesa We got married on 23rd May last year and the weather was lovely. We went out the week before and the temp was about 24oc and steadily got warmer over the two weeks. There was no rain and it wasn't cold in the evenings, maybe take a wrap just incase. Kassandria town hall is in a lovely setting and has a nice square in front of it which is shaded by trees - it's really lovely. Insiby roydsio - Halkidiki
Re: Wedding advice needed! - 14 years ago
Hi all We had the same problem with First Choice not being able to confirm the day & time even though we had booked 12 months earlier. I think they provisionaly book with the town hall and then only finalise things in April once they get their reps out in Greece. As far as your documents are concerned we used a translator called Androulla who was fantastic. She arranged all our docs beforeby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi Vicc I got married at Kassandria Town Hall and I wore a gown as you would wear here. It was a bodice type with no straps and no one frowned at me - you can see the pictures in my album or in the wedding section under Roydsio. I don't think it matters what you wear if you are marrying in the Town Hall as it is not a religious place. Don't forget, depending on when you get married it will bby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi Bex We got married at Kassandria in May. There are some photos in my album (Roydsio) and the wedding album. It is a beautiful intimate place to get married. We stayed at the Oceania Club which is a large hotel They arranged our reception on a private terrace just for 21 guests overlooking the sea. I can't praise them enough it was a really special day. We booked through first choiceby roydsio - Halkidiki
Re: Is Baby food and milk available to buy in Oceania Club Halkidiki - 15 years ago
Hi Natalie We got married at the Oceania in May this year and I have to say it is a lovely hotel. They do have a little shop on site but I didn't notice what baby things they sold as my children are 10 & 6 and it wasn't something i was looking for. They have sun creams, newspapers, soaps and showergels etc so they may sell nappies. There is quite a large supermarket just down the road frby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi Lindsay I used Androulla and she did everything for me. She charged a courier fee of £90 but I had everything back in under 2 weeks. Once I got my certificate of no imped I just sent everything off to her and she took them to the FCO, translated them and the got the consulate stamps. She is very good. She also translated out marriage certificate once we got home. A point worth remeby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi Mandy Been so busy since we got back!! Nic showed us all your pictures while we were out there and you looked like you had a fantastic day. Pearl said everything went really well for you both and also passed on your good luck message. It's funny reading the forum now after all the stresses beforehand - if only we knew then what we know now. I'd love to do it all again! Sharonby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi Rachel We have just returned from Halkidiki. We stayed at the Oceania and married at Kassandria which is also about 40 mins away. Oceania and Sani are owned by the same people so you will have the same wedding co-ordinator. Her name is Anna Wohlfart. Her details are on a thread within the forum but I can give them to you if you need me to. The First Choice wedding co-ordinator is calledby roydsio - Halkidiki
Re: halkidiki wedding - 15 years ago
Hi Lindsay You will have a fantastic time so try not to worry. I know it's easier said than done and I totally understand how you must be feeling at the moment. I just wish I could do it all again without the stresses of organising everything. It is 25-30 mins from Oceania to Kassandria in a car but it doesn't seem that long. The car picked me up at 11am and I arrived on time for the 11.3by roydsio - Halkidiki

Re: halkidiki wedding - 15 years ago
Hi Nicola You don't need to worry about your photo pages of your passport. This document only needs to be signed and stamped by a solictor. This document isn't going to the fco anyway as it does not need to be leglised. The fco office have a big database with solicitors signatures on it - this way they can check any document signed by a solicitor matches with the signature on their databaseby roydsio - Halkidiki

Hi there You sound just as panicked as I was when we booked our wedding. We should be getting married the day after you arrive Halkidiki. Speak to Androula she is very good and informative. You can make an appointment to see the registrar anytime from now. You will have an interview and can collect your certificate of no impediment within 12 months of you having your interview. Hi all Nicola - yes I'm going to use Androulla for the translations. I spoke to her last week and she was really helpful. She said it would be better to wait and get all he docs sorted at the same time - mid March for us. I was thinking of doing the birth certificates now and the no imped's later but may as welldo them all together. Which travel agent are you using? We are with First Choice.by roydsio - Halkidiki
Re: halkidiki wedding - 16 years ago
Hi Nicola Did you manage to find any further info on whether you need the passport certified. I am hoping to send my docs off to the foreign office tomorrow. Nic emailed me about the weather and says it's a lovely time to get married as it's not too hot. Has anyone got any contact details for the registrar office in Halkidiki?
