Re: Elinotel? - 14 years ago
I doubt that the hotel will get more than 1.5k if that from the 4 k plus they are charging!by Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Elinotel? - 14 years ago
Unfortunatley one of kids is at secondary school this year so not been able to go im May/June whit hols fortnight when we normally go. We could have gone for 1500 -1700 then but schools fine now and only two of my 3 kids are now off at that time so been looking at july /august. They want four grand plus which is ridiculous really. Been looking since prices came on and have only been as low as 3kby Bunny - Halkidiki
Elinotel? - 14 years ago
Just out of interest where are these new elinotel hotels ive seen on olympic hols web site? one is all inclusiv another HB ? Look really nice - but expensive and i hate the all inclusive idea.Is it my imagination or does it look a bit similar to the strand hotel? Been trying to find a holiday for the five of us in halkidiki this year but the hotel i want is around 5k for us and that only b&by Bunny - Halkidiki
First choice, no thursday flights 2010? - 14 years ago
Been looking at FC'S Online prices for next year holidays in halkidiki and it looks like from next year they have stopped the thursday FC flight and selling hol packages with the Monday Thomson Flight only? I like flying on a Thursday! I dont why they are doing this, i doubt it lack of interest, hope its just short term whilst the credit crunch is happening. I hope it is not a plan to get youby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti resort info... - 14 years ago
Hi stayed at the Lesse three times , love it . There is lots of restaurants in the area , we still haven't done them all! Depends on what you want to eat. Everyone who comes on here has there own favourites really. Im a veggie so we like the Gusto Italian in the square so that my other half and kids can have pizza etc and I can have pasta etc. Also I like the Tropicana as I loved there stuffedby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti - 15 years ago
Hi miss sunshine, We have stayed in Hanioti many times as a family with young kids, most of the holiday makers seem to be families or couples to be honest. I think this is mainly because its a place where you go to chill out and relax rather than drink yourself silly and spend all night clubbing.(not that im saying all young ones do!) Therefore a lot of youngsters dont really think about goiby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti---how busy this summer - 15 years ago
The first choice flights still departed from Manchester and Gatwick in May, I know coz thats when we normally go , we didnt this year and we could have gone May/June for 900 quid for five of us for two weeks from gatwick! My other half wanted to do the garden , for when the rain came! Makes me cry just thinking about it!by Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti---how busy this summer - 15 years ago
Anyway if Tui and the rest of the merging companies do increase there prices dramatically and provide less seats....they will be taking up less airspace and airport space giving more opportunity for the low cost airlines such as ryan and easy to come in with their own cheaper flights to the same places , hopefully. Come on we need some more from Manchester.by Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti---how busy this summer - 15 years ago
There is still the same amout of flights for First choice Thomson at the moment on thursdays (ex fca ) and Thomson still on Monday, so between them they havent lost any flights but next year they may have a rethink for 2010? I know a few years back FCA did two flights on a Thursday to Halkidiki , one disappeared after 2005 for somereason? It was a afternoon/evening flight. Im not sure which ofby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti---how busy this summer - 15 years ago
First choice flights on Thursdays are still running just that the planes are going to be repainted and now running under tom codes instead of FCA, exactly the same flight etc just a rebranding job under the new TUI group. So there are still the three weekly flights from three airports , and Thomsons have always done Mondays. I do get your point about everything revolving around london though! Weby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti---how busy this summer - 15 years ago
I know First Choice are still doing their Thursday flights from Man, Lgw and Brum as well as Ba everyday from Gatwick too.by Bunny - Halkidiki

Re: Where exactly is Fairytopia for children - 15 years ago
Hi Jo Jo as you walk to the square up the back road from the Lesse , stop when you come to the corner with the park on the left hand side of you , then turn left and walk up the hill and within a minutes or two it will be right in front of you. The very first time we went to Halkidiki in 2005 we didnt see it or know about it, when we went in 2006 we got a flier for it and so found it. Its notby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: CAB FROM AIRPORT TO HANIOTI - 15 years ago
Yes but im stuck to the school hols though and they rip you off for it. Ive already looked at the usual First Choice, Thomson, Thomas Cook and Easy Jet (Only available from london) and they are really expensive for five of us. We are from Manchester although one year we did fly from London Gatwick, Ive looked at all airlines and found nothing resonable.by Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: CAB FROM AIRPORT TO HANIOTI - 15 years ago
Im curious as to what you will do to , we are a family of five and usually go with First Choice and get the transfers included, have looked into doing it all myself ie flights/accom/transfers in the summer hols as the tour ops rip us off in peak season! I cant remember every seeing a minibus at Thessalonika airport ? You could always hire a car like a peugeout 307 sw which would fit all your caby Bunny - Halkidiki

Re: Hanioti Park - 15 years ago
Some advice for travelling with little ones. The Transfer is quite long but very scenic, get the kids to go to the loo at the airport , its next to the luggage carousels in arrivals. Also once past security at the airport, buy your drinks at whsmith's etc , you will get them cheaper and much bigger bottles than on the plane. (ie fruit shoots etc).Buy a few then you have some fro the coach too.by Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti Park - 15 years ago
There is a slide and Monkey bars near the beach bar on the beach, the grass behind the beach is referred to as the park although it is just a few benches and grass. There is a play park just outside the square with swings slides etc. Depending on your kids ages you may want to vist fairytopia a bouncy castle/trampoline place for little ones. There is also a very small 4 x4 min track for the littlby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hananoiti - 15 years ago
Hello Polichrono is about 45 mins walk from Hanioti, Pefkohori is a little bit closer 25-30 mins. Its tales no time at all in a taxi but we like our walks. All the towns /villages are approximatley 4km apart according to the big road sign on the road between Hanioti and Polichrono. Pefkohori is nicer with a nice little promenade.by Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti - Hotel Sousouras - 15 years ago
If its the hotel i'm thinking of in front of the Halkidiki Palace then you are quite well placed in the centre of Hanioti. All the restaurants and bars are literally on your doorstep. Hanioti is very low key , just bars restaurants and shops really. We usually spend a day visiting Pefkohori and Polichrono the neighbouring villages when we stay in Hanioti. There are lots of trips available, manby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: fanis - 15 years ago
We have found that the reps usually change every year or they move to a different resort. Not stayed at the Fanis in Polichrono, Only in Hanioti though. Last year we had Lois , the year before it was Pearl and Rebecca and the year before that we had Gemma. All have been really nice and friendly.by Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Message for Jo Jo - 15 years ago
We always get the ground floor rooms because of the kids (safety) , we have always been able to see the sea, its not at total sea view its is sort of broken up by the lovely trees. I suppose the higher you go up , the view is better, There is only three floors per block. Its a shame really because the whole area lost lots of trees in a huge fire in august 2006 and when we went back in 2006 we sawby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Message for Jo Jo - 15 years ago
There is lots of deals to this hotel normally with First Choice in May/June and September, however that has been the past few years before TUI/Thomson have got hold of it, there prices are outta this world for next year. We normally book a late deal to go there but these may disappear under the new merger. It would be a shame as I have always had excellent holidays with First choice. Im not sureby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Message for Jo Jo - 15 years ago
Hi JoJo, yes George will make you snacks if you want my kids have had things like nuggets and Onion rings and I remember having a nice veggie burger there, cant remember what my otherhalf ate there though? It wasnt all the time just occasionally as really we only really ate out at night , and two or three times a week for breakfast (we made toast in the apartments some mornings or the kids had ceby Bunny - Halkidiki
Re: Message for Jo Jo - 15 years ago
Oh not long to go then, I'm really Jealous. The resort of Hanioti is really low key and is more of a relaxing holiday than anything else.Mainly Couples and families, many of them repeat visitors like myself. It is quiet a long tranfer from the airport but not the 2 hrs it says in the brochure, more like an hour and a bit maybe. The view of the coach ride anyway is quite scenic as you will beablby Bunny - Halkidiki
