Re: Kostas Apartments - Polichrono - 16 years ago
No problem, There were pans, kettle, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery.... though from memory no teapot. The table and chairs provided on the balcony are plastic, and with the patio doors i'm sure you could move them inside if you wished Trev (Southampton)by saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: Kostas Apartments - Polichrono - 16 years ago
Hi There, We stayed at the Kostas last year. It is true there are no table or chairs inside, though its lovely to eat out on the balcony. We had an apartment with one double bed, it also had bedside tables, and a dressing table with stool. The apartments are the biggest we have stayed in in greece - very roomy. We would occasionally eat a sandwich, sitting on the bed and using the bedsideby saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: pefkohori in August - 16 years ago
Hi, Yes we loved Polychrono and went a couple of times to Pefkohori, infact we're considering going there this year. The 4 years previous to the last we have stayed in Pefkos, Rhodes - though spent most evenings in Lardos. We have made many friends in Lardos and will return there soon. Have a great time in May, as i'm sure you will.by saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: pefkohori in August - 16 years ago
Hi, We booked diy style last year to polichrono, and it was our 1st visit to Halkidiki. We posted on here for about a taxi transfer, and had a response from a chap called Grigoris (Greg). We took him up on his offer, and although we never met him, he provided us with a different taxi driver each-way in very confortable, air-conditioned taxis, of which both driver spoke excellent english. Re: Royal Kosta's Polichrono - 16 years ago
Went there for the 1st time last year. Loved it, and would/will go again. Accomodation is the best we've had in Greece... very roomy and clean, tv & free aircon! 1st impressions were a bit worrying, going down a side track off the main road, but once you get your bearings (which is easy as everything is sea-wards), it's fantastic. If you go on any excursions, the pick-up / drop-off poby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Re: Sithonia....why not? - 16 years ago
Funnily enough, we went to Halkidiki for the 1st time this year and went to Polichrono. Half way through our holiday we had already decide we would return next year, but this time probably stay in Pefkohori. However, we got speaking to out taxi driver on our way back to the airport, and she said why not try Sithonia? We pondered this and though why hadn't we considered this, and are now makingby saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: Countdown - 16 years ago
Cheers Carole, Just read this on the bbc news website - "Security experts are now considering a relaxation of the official estimate of the terrorist threat to Britain, currently judged to be critical. If the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre concludes that another attack is no longer imminent, the threat level will return to severe - one level below critical. That would mean a sby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Re: Countdown - 16 years ago
Hi Carole, We're flying with BA from Gatwick. Done our holiday diy style, much cheaper and better service...so far lol So much easier to book online, choose our seats, printed the boarding card - just have to drop our suitcases off at the fast bag drop - go through security, and that's it. Beats queuing up for 30mins+ at check in and getting the seats they give you. Hope you have a safeby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Important Info Regarding UK Airports - 16 years ago
Important information Following Saturday's terrorist incident at Glasgow Airport, additional security measures are in place at all BAA airports.
