Early July - Evening Temperature - 17 years ago
We have been to Pefkos, in Rhodes last few years and never needed a sweatshirt/jumper/jacket for the evening. Can anyone please advise if this will be required for Polichrono, early-mid July? Many Thanks for any advice Trevby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Re: Transfer to Polichrono - 17 years ago
Many Thanks again Ian, Seems our sort of place. We have made note of the restaurants you mentioned, and will use the rule of thumb - eat where you see the locals eating. We have always tried to stay out of the 'english' pubs abroad, in fact for the last 2 years in Pefkos we stayed in the restaurants all night, eating late, and then play cards with the owners family - they have some strange rby saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: Kostas Apartments - Polichrono - 17 years ago
Many Thanks to all who posted a review here - we're all booked for the 5th July 07 staying in a 1 bedroom apartment, booked with Thomson. Just wondered if anyone had an update of anything new in the apartments or resort for 2007, also a description of the apartment would be fantastic. Many Thanks again for the great reviews - will be adding ours upon our return. Trevby saintscouple - Halkidiki

But in all you like Jeff, it's appreciated :-) No disrespect intended, if there any reps reading this, but even they would have to admit what a con it is booking excursions and car hire through them is. I've never understood why people do that, when they can pop down the road and book direct with locals, saving money and ensuring that the profits go to the local community. Re: pics of outdoor market - 17 years ago
I would be interested too, I don't know if this is the same thing but found this clipping from Thomsons - Shopping As the commercial centre of Halkidiki, Nea Moudania offers plenty of shops in which to spend your euro. Every Wednesday, the largest outdoor market in the area takes place. Olive, apricot and peanut produce are on sale, yielded from the surrounding groves.by saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: Transfer to Polichrono - 17 years ago
Many Thanks for the recommendation Ian, but we've already booked The Royal Kostas. The must for us was a 1 bedroom apartment, seeing as we have my 16yr old son in tow. lol Summer Dream does look very nice, and i have saved it in my favourites. I will also have a nose when we're out there. This is our 1st time to Halkidiki, and if we like it, we will more than likely come back next year. Previoby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Re: Transfer to Polichrono - 17 years ago
Hi Greg, Thanks for your message - thought it had disappeared!?! We will be finalising our accommodation arrangments in the next couple of days, and when confirmed will email you. What info do you require on the email. i.e if i give you our flight number would that help in case we get delayed? Look forward to seeing you in July Trev, Kim, & Chrisby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Re: Transfer to Polichrono - 17 years ago
Many thanks for that. We booked ba flights last year, so now looking for the accommodation, and looks like Royal Kostas in Polichrono which has had some good reviews on here. Thanks again Trevby saintscouple - Halkidiki
Transfer to Polichrono - 17 years ago
Hi, Looking at transfers from airport to Polichrono in July and am guessing its just a matter of grabbing a taxi at the airport and agreeing a price beforehand. Question is, what price am i looking to pay? Many Thanks in advance Trevby saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: Ammos or Fanis in Polychrono - 17 years ago
Thanks Micky & Jeff, May well have to send a fax and hope for a reply. The reviews i have already seen, and they really promote this as a good place to stay. I have seen that thomson's are currently selling rooms, which for the duration of our stay, would be under £400 for a 1 bed apartment at the Royal Kostas. So not a bad back-up plan.by saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: Ammos or Fanis in Polychrono - 17 years ago
Thanks for that Jeff. Know what you mean about sitting on the balcony watching sunsets - nothing like a bottle or 2 of the local vino as company lol Will remember to pack the swimming shoes The accommodation we would like is the Fanis - but can't seem to find a contact email address, looks like you can only book through 1st Choice for this hotel - unless anyone else knows otherwise?by saintscouple - Halkidiki
Re: Ammos or Fanis in Polychrono - 17 years ago
Many thanks for your reply Jeff, We had a sudden change of arrangements when i found cheap flights with BA, thus have them booked. So next thing is looking at accommodation only, hopefully booking direct with owners; and then investigating taxi prices from the airport. We have holidayed for the past 4 years in Pefkos, Rhodes and have always had the basic accommodation - the only extra we requiby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Many Thanks Tracey and Dave, We actually found a fantastic offer on flights, thus have booked that. All we need to do now is search for the best place to book accommodation. Trev, Kimby saintscouple - Halkidiki
Ammos or Fanis in Polychrono - 17 years ago
Hi all, Can anyone give any info on the resort of Polychrono as this would be our 1st trip to Halkidiki next summer. The wife, myself, and our 16 yr son. We have found the following 2 properties appealing, as we require a 1 bedroom apartment - and have a budget of under £1000 for the 1st week of July 07 for 14 nights. The Ammos Studios and Apartments - and the Fanis Apartments, both come undby saintscouple - Halkidiki

Hello Rita, and everyone, We are Trev & Kim, and have just joined. We have spent the last 3 years holidaying in Pefkos, Rhodes and are looking for somewhere different, yet still greece. All afternoon we have been researching and would like to come to Pefkohori for 2 weeks in June next year, though request a few bits of information if anyone could be so kind. We want to stay in a studio,by saintscouple - Halkidiki
