Re: *EMAIL ADRESS FOR DINO AT FANNIS APTS WANTED** - 14 years ago
You can email Dimitra and Sakis info@hotelfanis.gr as Dinos has gone to Thessaloniki to college. The hotel no longer deal with First Choice and take bookings via the website now www.hotelfanis.grby marie - Halkidiki

I agree, I'm disappointed to see this come up again, kind of puts me off going back to the Cockney Cafe again next summer...by marie - Halkidiki
Re: fanis apt. polichrono - 15 years ago
You might be lucky, I think there are only a couple of the one bedroom apartments that have a seaview and some have a partial side seaview and some are on the back, but whatever room you are in, I'm sure you'll have a great time.by marie - Halkidiki
Re: fanis apt. polichrono - 15 years ago
Sorry, I should have said go past the GOLDEN BAR not the Tropical! As long as you turn left out of Fanis, you'll find it!by marie - Halkidiki
Re: fanis apt. polichrono - 15 years ago
I think George near the Viva steak house only rented out pedaloes but if you turn left out of Fanis and go along the beach right passed the Tropical and Nemos, you can hire jetskis, and do banana rides and hire out boats from the guys there. Can't remember all the prices but it was 30 euros for 15 minutes on the jet ski.by marie - Halkidiki
Re: Fanis Apartments - 15 years ago
Hi We were in an apartment and had a table and chairs in kitchen area and on balcony. In the kitchen you'll have a small electric cooking rings unit, kettle, fridge and enough crockery, cutlery, pans and glasses. These are adequate for making simple meals, but I'd recommend taking a decent tin opener and bottle opener with you. The only thing we missed was a toaster so you will have to improviseby marie - Halkidiki
Re: Fanis Apartments - 15 years ago
Just arrived back from Fanis yesterday, and had a fantastic time again. All 9 of us in our party were very sad to leave! Fanis is a fantastic place to go and the many comments on this website prove that a fan club exists! Many thanks to Demetra, Sakis and Dinos for a great holiday, we will see you next summer, we hope. Best wishes Mrs Showman and family.by marie - Halkidiki

Re: fanis - 15 years ago
Cheers, last year we had the quiz on our first week and our ladies team won a fabulous cake but then First Choice pulled the plug - something to do with not charging! Thanks for the update - we'll have to save a bit more for the aircon! I'm sure we'll have a great time, not long now. Marieby marie - Halkidiki

Re: Polychrono - 16 years ago
Hi The Fanis is a great place to stay you should also look at the photos I posted last year - if you click on Users' photo albums and search for Fanis, there's some nice views. We are returning this summer for the third year on the run and you will find that lots of people do. It's in a great spot and the family look after you really well and make sure you have a very relaxing holiday.by marie - Halkidiki
Re: Baked Spicy Feta - 16 years ago
Hi Does your mum have a good recipe for kleftiko and stifado? I have tried kleftiko in different parts of the Greek islands but the ones I had in Halkidiki were the best!by marie - Halkidiki
Re: Fanis Apartments - 16 years ago
We have just got back from Fanis for the second year on the run, the only place we've ever gone back to as it's so good! We've booked again for next July so you won't be disappointed - the family, and Dinos, bless him, make you so welcome it's like staying in a friends holiday home!by marie - Halkidiki
Re: cockney cafe - 16 years ago
We went to there also for the first time last year and thought it was great and we weren't disappointed this year - we ate breakfast there nearly every day and were so grateful to them for opening up earlier last Thursday morning so we could eat before we flew home! Thanks to Maralyn and the staff. We'll be back next July staying at the Fanis again.by marie - Halkidiki
Re: traveller cheques polychrono - 16 years ago
Hi We stayed in Polochrono last year and there was definitly a cash machine where Jeff said at the top road by the traffic lights. Has this disappeared now? We are going back in July so would be good to know it's still there.by marie - Halkidiki
Re: GOOD FOOD IN POLYCHRONO,COCKNEY CAFE. - 17 years ago
I have to say that I also enjoy greek food on holiday, but the Cockney Cafe is a place you must visit at least once for one of their fantastic breakfasts, or any of the meals. You will get a great welcome and delicious food. We were looked after really well last year especially on the morning of our flight home when we arrived a little early! We'll be visiting again this year!by marie - Halkidiki
Re: ammos studios - 17 years ago
There is a photo of Polichrono in User's photo album at the top of the page in case you missed it, which I recently posted. Polichrono beach is lovely but quite narrow and busy in the summer, I'm sure you will have a great holiday.by marie - Halkidiki

Re: Fanis Apts Polychrono - 17 years ago
Hi again I've posted some photos of Polochrono, hope they give you an idea what it's like. The beach front is lined with restaurants and bars and at night the road is closed to traffic. There is also a village square with more restaurants and shops but we found Fanis such a great place to chill out that we didn't venture further than the seafront until the end of the second week. I hope you enjoby marie - Halkidiki
Re: Fanis Apts Polychrono - 17 years ago
Hi We stayed at Fanis last year, it's in a beautiful spot and the owners are very welcoming, we had such a good time that we are going back again this July - we fly out on the 19th. The hotel is a lovely place to relax and there's plenty of places to eat and drink close by, though the hotel does great breakfasts and greek salads etc and the bar is very lively at night with the garden area all lby marie - Halkidiki
