Anybody heard of any fires in this area?

i am on the other pinnensula,and can see them from here,havent heard anything yet but there are planes trying to put it out!!!

The fire in Sithonia was a small one ( lasted only a few hours ) and all has gone !!
I’ ve add two pictures in the Users’ Photo Album taken from Kriopigi / Kassandra where you can see the smoke and that has now gone!!
-Sithonia remains one of the nicest areas in Halkidiki !!

In what area was the fire? I' ve heard they mentioned Lagomandra, Tripotamos?

Yes, it was close to Tripotamos

Is the damage visible around the main road or some beaches?

Fire was in the center of the forest, so I do not think that the damage is visible from the main road. I will visit Neos Marmamas tomorrow and I will let you know.
