May be a bit of a tek for the golf. Nea Marmaris is on the next leg. So about a hour and a half drive. If you are hiring a car though if its not too hor marmaris is lovely.

Thanks joanne, sorry to be so stupid, first time halkidiki, was wondering if my husband went to the golf course, is the surrounding area built up, would it be somewhere i could spend the day with the children??

I am sure there must be a beach area there, cant remember only been the once.They say Sithonia has some really lovely beaches. But ask the locals in hanioti, for more info. Marmaris is very nice and geared up for tourists, worth a look anyway. Strongly advise air conditioned car though.
