Jane, have followed your posts over the last couple of years so am aware you are somewhat of an expert on Halkidiki etc! Am planning to drive to Afitos from the UK in May and would very much welcome any advice you could give me (will be just my partner and I). Have read your comments re driving from previous years but just wanted to double-check what the best options are and what you personally recommend (as you have done it so many times!). We normally fly to Thessaloniki but my partner's fear of flying has really kicked in and he is refusing to get on a plane, hence the reason for planning to drive to Afitos this year.
