Hi all, stopping at the achtis hotel in afitos on 8/9/08, my reason for picking this destination was i love snorkelling and the beaches etc.

does anyone know what the beach is like near to the achtis?

and is there much opportunity for scuba diving nearby?

There is scuba diving school, Odyssey Dive Club at porto Valitsa.

Beach is is around 800 metres down hill to the main beach which has white sand where sun beds can be hired, there are a few less commercial beaches along which are a lot quieter.
Have a good holiday, the achtis is a lovely hotel

Thanks alot for your reply. is the best way to find the more secluded beaches just to walk along the beach until you find them or would we need a taxi/car?
