Greek language at Peking University

Prestigious Peking Foreign Language and Culture University introduces Greek language department as from the new academic school year. A grand inauguration ceremony was held this morning in the presence of university authorities, Chinese officials, foreign diplomats and 1.100 students.
It should be noted that Peking University Greek Language department is the second Greek language seat in the Republic of China after that at @#$%& University while the Greek language is taught at the Military Academy and the Byzantine Studies department of Nankin University.
Many students have registered to attend the new Greek Language Studies department while an exchange program for professors and students has recently been signed with Greek Ionian University.
Greece’s ambassador to China, Mihail Kambanis represented Greece at the inauguration ceremony following an invitation by the University’s president. In his address he underlined that the learning of foreign languages could highly contribute to the building of bridges among nations and governments, the mutual understanding of peoples and promotion of international peace and prosperity.

Thank God we are all OK here in HALKIDIKI as we had no fires at all !!

Chinese Yung sing ("drink and win"
(Cantonese) Gom bui ("dry the cup"
Chinese Gan bei ("dry the cup"
Mandarin : Gan bei or Kong chien.
I prefer the greek version !!!
