Hi Micky
This what I found about Fanis Apartments in Polihrono.
I'll try to add a photo from the complex at the User's Photo Album so you can have a look.
I hope that helps.
-Have a nice holiday in Halkidiki.

Overlooking the beach, this traditional-style property offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. A small, beachfront apartment complex, set in the heart of the resort, this is an ideal base for a restful break or for exploring this beautiful peninsular.

Comments: We returned to Fanis this summer as it is a lovely family orientated hotel situated in a calm and relaxing resort.
Also, the resort of Polychrono is safe enough to allow teenagers to go out without adults on an evening, and I think perhaps that is why we enjoy this resort and hotel so much as parents do not have to worry so much about their children’s safety.

Comments: Just returned from 1 week staying here at the Fanis apartments in Polychrono. The apartments are excellent extremely clean with very friendly staff wanting to ensure you have a good holiday.
The location is superb with the apartments close to all the resorts tavernas & facilities & the walk to the beach is just 2 or 3 paces. Very friendly & ideal for couples & young families preferring a quieter more relaxed holiday.
I would recommend these apartments & would definitely return in the future or recommend friends & family do.

Comments: Loved it here been to Polychrono before not to the Fanis. Highly recommended took my 6 year old grandchild who was safe and also loved it. Family are fantastic, but as another reviewer mentioned he hopes the Brits don’t spoil it, I think it is inevitable whilst there a few undesirables arrived ( the Gatwick flight) loud, horrible, teenagers who gave poor old Mr. Fanis a hard time throwing water around the apartments then running away laughing.
A couple came with 2 teenage girls that had faces like smacked bums they complained about a few rules that I welcomed e.g. no inflatables in the pool too right the pool isn’t huge, no I don’t want a lilo in my face. why don’t you people go to Benidorm leave a decent place run by decent people alone.
The resort is very Greek, the Greeks holiday there, It ad barely changed in the 5years since I was last there and 20 years before that, I hope it does not become too commercialised.

Comments: This is the 2nd time in 4weeks that we have returned to the Fanis apartments. They are situated on the beach front, facing the Sithonia peninsula. If you are lucky you can even see the dolphins. The accommodation is very clean, air conditioning a must at this time of year.
The apartments are a family run business, very friendly. The rep for the Fanis is very good too. The swimming pool has now been built. It’s amazing how many people stop and look at the Fanis when they are passing. The gardens are maintained to a high standard by Mr Fanis himself. Watering his precious lawn twice daily.
The resort itself is a typical Greek town, many traditional tavernas. No pizza huts, Kentucky etc. thank goodness.
Polychrono is lovely and clean with the locals as friendly as you can imagine.
We enjoyed it so much hoping to get another week in before the season closes.

Comments: Wonderful destination. Polichrono is quiet enough to relax but busy enough to enjoy. Kids are safe here both in the sea and on the beach. Fanis is a superbly kept complex. This is the first year for Brits so lets hope they don’t wreck it! The Fanis family look after you well and we could find no fault. In fact it was so good we’re going back in September!

PS
ENJOY !!

We stayed at the Fanis at the beginning of August and found it to be perfect! It is in a beautiful spot and the hotel is kept spotless and the rooms are very spacious. The family who run the hotel are lovely and very welcoming. The bar is lively at night but hotel guests are well taken care of by Dinos and Sakis who are very entertaining! There are plenty of lovely restaurants close ( especially Viva and Gallini) by and the beach is great - George the sunbed will also look after you. The only downside is the rep Thomas - he was pretty useless! I would recommend fgoing on the Pirate ship with First Choice as it is a good day out for adults and children. We had such a good time there we've booked to go straight back next summer - it is a very chilling place to go to and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Fanis is very nice. You have to run the gauntlet of all the guests every time you go to your room, but apart from that it's a very nice very well run hotel. So I would recommend Fanis.

But I would not recommend Kassandra (the bit of Halkidiki everyone goes to). It's crowded, with narrow beaches, and like a tourist cattle market. The Greeks are as charming and laid-back as ever, of course, and you'll have a lovely time. But there's so little feeling of privacy or space anywhere in the resorts that I would not go back. There are much much better places to go to.

If you want to tour Greek Macedonia (Olympus, Vergina, Dion, Meteora etc) however, Halkidiki, is perfect. Get in the car and Olympus is only a few hours down the road. Motorways are brilliant.

We did find it dull mooching around Manioti and Polihrono. Prams gridlock. Give the pirate ship trip to Athos a miss if you dislike loud music and endless loud broadcast commentary. Unfortunately it's the only way to see Athos. And Athos is worth seeing.

just got back from similar deal - great holiday even though majority of area has recently been burnt down due to forest fires - best to go on 5 minutes bus ride to hanioti or pefochora which is great for places to go
