Came back from Hanioti in July this year and loved it soo much we've already booked to go back next year!!

The weather in July was amazing but we did speak to a few locals who advised that June's weather was terrible - thunderstorms & rain etc.

Could anyone please tell me what the weather is usually like in June - is rain normal??

It's just a lot of the family wanted to go in June next year & now i've thought about it I'm slightly concerned about rain!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in Afitos this year from 25th June for one week and we had a mini heatwave with temperatures of circa 34 degrees - it was boiling hot and apparently this was not the norm!

The weather has been very unusual this year, heavy snowfall in January, the rainfall in May ruined the start of the season for many tourists. August saw a heatwave of 42 degrees.

Hopefully the local government in Halkidiki will put flood prevention measures in place before the rainy season.
