Ask Sakis at Kriopigi cars - sales@kriopigi.net. About 30 Euros a day is the norm.
Sithonia is good to drive round.
Driving in Greece can be a bit scary - Greek drivers aren't the best!

Try the car hire advertised on this site too, economy car rentals. We found them to be very good as well and you can get a quote on line.

I would have said drive round Kassandra and see the beautiful pine forests !! Still would be nice to visit Paliori old village, and I would dearly love to know if Villa Stasa at Loutra is OK, it has been there 28+ years.

Sithonia, great but a very long days drive to go all round. You could drive to Vouvourou, we went this year for the first time in the 28 years we have been going and we loved it, very quiet, beautiful beach and spectactular rocks around the beaches. About 1 1/2 hrs drive from Kallithea.

Nea Moudania, about half an hour drive. Nice old Greek town, nothing flashy just a working town but with some nice shops, some boat activity coming in and out and some nice little cafes, tavernas. Friendly people, and a large market, think it is on a Thurs but not sure.

Hope that helps a bit

Don't know where you are staying,we were at Hanioti in July and it is at least £70 cheaper to hire a car for 1 week from a local rental than through your rep.Apart from driving through Pefkahori and Kalithea (a bit scary, cars everywhere) the roads where pretty good.We drove round to Sithonea but to be honest, long way and Kassandra really has much to offer.Since the fire I cant comment of course, but it has lots of pretty villages and quiet beaches to be explored. We always check out the organised tours on offer, pick the ones we fancy, choose a day the tours are'nt going and drive,no queues, come and go as you please, heaven! Remember to KEEP RIGHT and you will be fine(it was my job to remind hubbie at junctions, but you soon get use to it).Happy hols,DL
