Anyone going over to Halkidiki by their own arrangements, try this hotel in Siviris. We used it many years ago twice under the Thomson banner. English tour operators then pulled out of Siviris and the German ones moved in.

However, you can contact the hotel direct and get a good rate for an air conditioned room (some are one bedroom studios, most are two room apartments sleeping 2-4). Basic kitchen equipment, kettle (yes, kettle instead of that little pan you usually find !) fridge and air con individually controlled so you can use it in or out of season.

Very nice owner, Angelos. Is very friendly and helpful and will do his best to make your stay pleasant. Lovely bar worked called Sambeeka who loves to speak to the English tourists and has excellent English. Very very helpful, all the staff are most pleasant.

The only downside is that the satellite TV has BBC World only in English and a few Greek channels show English movies with Greek subtitles, the rest are German, but then the English Tour Operators did pull out, and who wants to watch TV all holiday anyway !!
