General discussion and questions about Halkidiki.
Re: Hanioti - 15 years ago
Try the Greek night on Tuesday's at the Naias Beach Hotel, which is in Hanioti. About a 2 minunte walk from the square. It costs 10 euro and you can eat as much of the delicious food as you like. The barman Leo does some dancing and gets everyone else to join in. It's a great night out. Caroleby Carole - Halkidiki
Re: Air conditioning prices - 15 years ago
I think air conditioning at the Sarantis last year was 50 euros for the week.by Carole - Halkidiki
Re: holiday in halkidiki - 15 years ago
Hi Milly I stayed in the Sarantis last year. The apartments are nice and clean and the pool is nice too. It's pretty quiet at night though and they like to shut the bar at 12. Next door is the Nerides, although I didn't go there it sounded like there was alot more going on and alot more livlier, they also do food, not sure what but definately breakfast. Like Carolinus said there are some niceby Carole - Halkidiki

Hi Ruth I have just come back from Hanioti with my 16 yr. old son and his friend. I't the 3rd. time that I've been and can't wait to go back. We stayed at the Naias beach which if I'm right is just a little down the beach from this new hotel. I took a stroll one day and came across it. It looks a lovely hotel. There are water sports on the beach about a 5 min walk away. I don't know about otheby Carole - Halkidiki

Re: transfer times - 15 years ago
Figaro's right after one holiday in Greece you will be converted. I've been to Hanioti twice now, going again this year and it feels like going home. Everyone who goes there ends up going back. Try a night in the Tropical which is just opposite the Vicky apartments. The people are lovely and you're guaranteed a good night.by Carole - Halkidiki

Re: Naias - 15 years ago
Hi Thanks to you both. We've booked for 2 weeks at the Naias, end of June. I've been to Hanioti twice before but different apartments and loved it both times so can't wait. You're right about the difference in prices, we booked with Thomas Cook in the end and it was at least £200 cheaper than any of the others. Worried about the Euro too ! Caroleby Carole - Halkidiki

Sorry Lisa I'm not going to be staying at the Vicky but I'm sure it's OK. I would definately question your travel agents about the flights from Manchester being cancelled.by Carole - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti - 16 years ago
Hi Lisa I've just booked to go to Hanioti in June with Thomas Cook and I picked up my tickets yesterday so I know I'm definately going. You should try Travel Care, travel agents. I've heard that the Vicky Apartments are good. Caroleby Carole - Halkidiki
Re: tropical studios - 16 years ago
Hi Andy We stayed at the Tropical last year and really enjoyed it . Vicky and Sakis are really friendly and will make your stay great. The studios are about a 5 minute walk form the square just off the main road. If I remeber rightly, I'm not very good with dirctions, about another 5 minute walk from the big supermarket on the main road. I think if you head for that and ask direction fromby Carole - Halkidiki

Re: Can you recommend anywhere? - 16 years ago
Thanks everyone. Polychrono seems the place but I'm having difficulty getting a holiday there. There's loads if there's more than one going but I'm finding that singles are definately not catered for. I could probably do it myself but being the first time I have been on holiday on my own I prefer to go on a package. I've also read good and bad reviews for the Sarantis so I think I might juby Carole - Halkidiki

Hi I'm hoping to go to Halkidiki on my own in June. I'm a 44 yr old female. I went to Hanioti with my teenage son last year and we had a great time. Hanioti is beautiful but I would like to try one of the other resorts. I'm just going to chill out, eat some good food and drink plenty of good wine and hopefully make some new friends. Can anyone recommend a resort and accommodation. I prefby Carole - Halkidiki

Trips - 17 years ago
Hi I'm going with my 14 yr old son to Hanioti on Thursday. We've never been before and would like to know if anyone can recommend any trips. My son wants to visit Thesaloniki but if it's really hot I don't fancy a 2 hr bus ride. Would it be worth it? Cheers, Caroleby Carole - Halkidiki
Re: Countdown - 17 years ago
Thanks for that Trev. About time we had some good news. What with the weather and the terror attacks I think we all need a holiday in the sun. Caroleby Carole - Halkidiki
