Re: Vourvourou Sithonia - 16 years ago
Hello Diane, I think it's a good idea to go to Vourvourou! We've been there some years ago, and it was really quiet and relaxing. We stayed at the Appartments "Listis". We have also been several times in Ormos Panagias, which is a little port near Vourvourou (approx. 11 km). It is the port from Agios Nikolaos, a nice village which is located 4 km in the heartland. She told me that they see dolphins more often when it is not so hot. I really don't know if this is significant, I'm not an expert.... In any case, I think it is really a matter of luck ..... Ciao, M.by Maggie - Halkidiki

Sorry, Nikos, I just read this information, after posting again,..... I thought this would be a good recommendation for other tourists, because I enjoyed it very much to travel with the M/S "Antigoni" to Mt. Athos! Best regards Maggieby Maggie - Halkidiki
Re: Vourvourou - 16 years ago
Hi everybody, I can highly recommend to visit Mt. Athos monasteries with M/S "Antigoni", which is located in Ormos Panagias, it's not far away from Vourvourou. This is a little ship, and it is much better than to go with the very big ships! The owner are Gisela & Jorgos, she is Austrian and he is Greek, please call: 0030-6944275198, www.giarenis.netby Maggie - Halkidiki
