Re: driving directions - Thesalonika airport to Polychrono - 15 years ago
Hi, The best maps we have found are by Orama - we bought ours in Greece, so not sure if you can get them in the uk. I wouldn't worry too much though about not having a map when you arrive, the journey is fairly straight forward & the car hire company should give you a basic map if you ask. If you don't have a map follow these signs/roads & you'll get there - will take about an hour:by D&A - Halkidiki
Re: GREAT NEWS Halkidiki closer to UK with EasyJet from £27.99 - 16 years ago
As far as I am aware, BA are still flying to Thessaloniki from Gatwick 6 days a week this summer. I think Easyjet have purchased the GB Airways franchise from BA & this didn't include the Thessaloniki route.....by D&A - Halkidiki

Re: Help please re doctors URGENT - 16 years ago
Hi, Not sure where you're going to be based? Only needed the doctors in Halkidiki once, but we would recommend Dr Issa in Pefkohori (on main road opposite Mamos cafe). He speaks good english & his receptionist is english (which makes the paperwork easy).by D&A - Halkidiki
Re: CAR HIRE - 16 years ago
Usually use Economy Car Rentals, but are using auto-europe at the begining of June. The car is actually with Europcar, who have a desk at the airport & their cars are normally fairly new. Will let you know how it goes.... Dani.by D&A - Halkidiki
