Re: cockney cafe - 16 years ago
Nice one Sim and Nice one whoe ever wrote that from the Cockney cafe staff, funny that over 2 whole summers I never had a bad meal there and I did frequent it on a regular basis. You may have a lot of P. Normans turning up in the cockney cafe now just for that free bottle of wine. Hope all ok?by Clairey - Halkidiki
Re: Halkidiki/Polichrono - 16 years ago
This is in fact true, the only thing linking it to the mainland is the bridge, ah memories of my little spiel on airport transfers. Polichrono is not an island though.by Clairey - Halkidiki

Re: Help please re doctors URGENT - 16 years ago
Hi Most the resorts have a doctors, look for the red cross or the chemists are usually very helpful, look for the green cross. If you have any problems the hotel staff will know who to contact and all the doctors I came across spoke very good english and they are not frightened to actually diagnose the real problem instead of beat around the bush like here. Re: Kriopigi : Laundry and Meteora - 16 years ago
Hi Rob Not to sure about the Laundry but would def reccommend Meteroa. I was fortunate enough to go a few years ago as I worked there, went on a coach and took about 5 hours, as far as I can remember, be a bit quicker in a car. Personally I thought it was stunning and would say it was def worth a visit. You can go in the some of the monastries and the views are spectacular but the actual visby Clairey - Halkidiki
Re: Mount Athos - 16 years ago
Boats for the sunshine cruise always used to leave from Choruso bay, can't spell it, or down that way, not much further down from Hanioti but for the Mount Athos it is the other peninsula. Love Claire xxxxby Clairey - Halkidiki
Re: Mount Athos - 16 years ago
Just a quick not though Sarah, if you want a fun trip on a boat you would be best off on something like the sunshine cruise as this is what you would expect for a good laugh and fun filled day, bar, swimming, takes you over to Sithonia but you don't see Mount Athos. The boat to Mount Athos, well the one I went on is a catermaran, you can't jump off and it's quite a long trip without getting off,by Clairey - Halkidiki
Re: Mount Athos - 16 years ago
Hi Unfortunately Mount Athos is a bit far away to see it well from the Kassandra Peninsula. You may see it if it is a really clear day but usually a bit hazy. There is a good boat trip which takes you a long the coast line of Mt Athos, is stunning but as you probably know you can't get to close or get on it. You can book with your rep or local tour offices, it goes from Sithonia though, itby Clairey - Halkidiki

Hey, I'm good, how about you and the rest of your family? Not this year, no money but hope to visit again someday, very different going as a holiday maker than when working, see it in a whole different light. Think I preferred it when working there, although i'll always love it and recomend it to people. Send my love to your Mum. Take it easy Love Claire xxxxby Clairey - Halkidiki
