Ya sas I am a British lady with a Greek husband who has been living in Thessaloniki for over 10 years, (frontisteria teacher) and summering in Chalkadiki for longer. My Greek is not quite fluent, but well above intermediate. Also, through long experience as an EFL teacher, I have excellent skills at overcoming languages barriers. Hi, I'm new to the forum. I'm a British lady who has lived in Greece for more than 10 years. in May, I will be moving with my husband (Greek) to around the Hanioti area. I'm a bit worried about feeling lonely, and would like to find something to do - my husband will be working. Is there anything I could get involved with? My husband and I want to rent for at least a year somewhere close to Hanioti. My husband (Greek) works there. I've been living in Thessaloniki for more than 10 years, we have had enough of traveling backwards and forwards! We don't really want to be stuck in the middle of tourist in the summer, but I'd like to be able to bike to shops, so nothing really out of the way either. Obviously, many lby AliLand - Halkidiki

You can get a bus from the airport ( 1 euro) to the coach station (ktel). You should book a return ticket. I know its €22 to Pefkohori ( probably not much less to Hanioti) You don't have to specify return date, you get about 30 days. While it does only cost €1 to get to the coach station , in practice it can be a bit of a pain. you can check out bus times on the OAST site and coach timby AliLand - Halkidiki
