Hanioti Beach - Sea Urchins? - 15 years ago
Hello, My boyfriend and I are booked to go to Hanioti in July for 2 weeks. I have been reading up on things to do etc, and I have read that there are loads of sea urchins in the sea, even in the shallow parts. Does anyone know if this is true?? Hope not! :-( Thanks!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Re: Which Resort??? - 15 years ago
Thanks Carolinus & Ian. We like to stay somewhere that's not right in the centre of the resort as it can sometimes be a bit noisy and busy - we like peace while round the pool! We're going to book this weekend, can't wait to go!!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Re: Which Resort??? - 15 years ago
Thanks for the info Carolinus, very useful indeed. I think we're going to go for Hanioti, found a lovely hotel to stay there and it sounds fab! Thanks again!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Which Resort??? - 15 years ago
Hello Which resort out of Hanioti, Kalithea, Polichrono, Kriopigi and Pefkohori, has the most to do, a large selection of bars and restaurants & shops, nicest beaches and most suitable for a couple aged 22?? Thanks!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Re: Weather - 15 years ago
Thanks Carolinus! Have you stayed in or been to Hanioti? If so, what's the beach like there? Sandy or rocky? Someone said you need to wear beach shoes to go in the sea...!!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Re: Weather - 15 years ago
Thank you! That has put my mind at rest. I'd just read a number of reviews where people had said they'd had bad weather. They hadn't said which month they were there so I wasn't sure what to think!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Weather - 15 years ago
Hello, Could those of you have have been to Halkidiki, Hanioti in particular, comment on what the weather/temperature was like? I'm wanting to go in July so hopefully some of you will have been during July! Does it get cold at night during the summer? Slightly worried that it won't be as hot as I'm used to! I know it's not summer yet but had a look on weather and it says it's 7 degrees righby Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti & Hilltop Hotel - 15 years ago
Thanks Figaro! I think we might give it a try then! The only thing we were a little worried about though is the weather. I know we wouldn't be going until July but I just had a quick look what the temperature is like there now compared with Greek Islands where we usually go on holiday. It's 7 degrees in Halkidiki and 17 degrees in places such as Crete!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki

Hanioti - 15 years ago
My boyfriend and I are thinking about visiting Hanioti as our summer holiday this year in July. I've been reading up about it and it sounds really nice, with plenty of restaurants and bars and a lovely beach, but in some reviews people have said that the resort is more for families and older couples. We are both 22 so I was wondering if you think we'd enjoy Hanioti? Thanks!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti & Hilltop Hotel - 15 years ago
Thanks Figaro! Are there plenty of places to eat close to the beach like for lunch time? How far away from the beach is the main square? Also, is the beach at Hanioti sand or shingle? Thanks!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
Hanioti & Hilltop Hotel - 15 years ago
Hello, Does nightlife and eating centre around the main square in Hanioti or are there restaurants and bars by the beach/looking onto the sea? Also, if anyone has stayed at the Hilltop Hotel - do they have a fridge in the room if you stay on bed & breakfast basis? Thanks!!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki

Hey, Has anyone stayed at the Bella Grecia Hotel Villa in Hanioti? Can't find many reviews, but the ones I have read are all good. Would appreciate any info and views! Also, is Hanioti suitable for a young couple, (22 years old)? ie, are there plenty of bars and restaurants and things to do? Many Thanks!by Miss Sunshine - Halkidiki
