I'm going to Halkidiki at the end of May - we won't know where abouts until we arrive.

Could anybody tell me what banks are in Halkidiki - I am from the U.K. and get paid 2 days after going so it would be nice to be able to access money in my account out there.

Most of the tourist resorts should have banks. On Kassandra, Kallithea has 2 "hole in the wall" machines (Commercial Bank of Greece, and National Bank of Greece). I'd expect other resorts to be similar. Afitos is an excpetion - it doesn't have any because of preservation orders. Don't rely just on one form of money - if your card gets bent, or retained by the machine, you could have problems!

There are a lot of quiet beaches out of season in Sithonia but don't forget, if you want an all over tan, that the greeks have not realy got used to topless yet so try not to offend.
