Does anyone know the cost of the above taxi ride and any suggestions on alternative transport.

We were quoted 100 euros each way a couple on months ago. Worked out cheaper hiring a small car from Kriopigi Cars and for a nominal charge they have agreed to transfer our extra passengers to and from Afitos. Think you can hire a car for about 25 euros per day.

Alternatively, try Med Hotels transfer service. You're supposed to book a hotel through them aswell but we booked the transfer separately in Tunisia last year and it worked a treat. Find a hotel near to where your'e staying and then get a taxi from there. Not sure of the transfer prices in this area though but it may be worth considering.
