Various trips available, to Thessaloniki sightseeing, boat trips possibly a sunset cruise, Petralona caves, Kassandrea market, trips to monasteries (but not on Sithonia, men only and has to be specially booked in advance)in the mountain areas North of the airport. Best way to see all of Halkidiki is, get a map, hire a car and go!! See the sunset on Sani beach on the west coast, call in to Afitos, a lovely small Greek village. See if you can print off a map of the three peninsulas before you go to Greece, read up and on your bus transfer you can look out for the places before you arrive at your resort! That way you have knowledge as to where the places are, and not waste time. We have travelled ALLOVER Halkidiki in the passed five years, but still stumble on new exciting and wonderful places, (Vourvourou for example!) a small sandy bay on the west coast of Sithonia, very hard to find but if you are lucky WOW!
