Hi - the supermarkets do sell some familiar items if you need them - drinks are cheap in supermarket large bottle lager less than half euro - Kostas fast food just off the square is good value for a drink - less than 1 euro for a large bottle of amstel and that is sitting in his place - his food is also good value especially if on a strict budget. Drinks are more expensive in trendier places think of 3-5 euro for a pint. His "full plate" deals on different meals as excellent - you get bread - greek salad - plate of chips with say chicken souvalaki (chicken breast grilled on sticks) was about 5 euro .
lots of other more upmarket (not necc better) places to eat - main courses from 7-10 euro range - the indian in hanioti is fab - starter of chicken chat 2.50 euro + chapati 1euro or the starter platter for two is 6.50 euro (Tandoori chick wings - samosa - - chicken tika
- seekh kabab) main courses 7-8 euro - pilau rice 2.50 euro. peshwari nan 2.50 euro.
Our friends own the Central Cafe on the square and do a fab full english for 5.50 euro - Orange juice and tea or coffee, toast, bacon , eggs , beans , sausage, tomato, mushrooms and HP brown sauce ? the best place to people watch while you eat. They also do pizza - pasta -snacks and a cool bar in the evenings to have a relaxing drink. have a great time Steve
