We went to Kalithea a couple of times while we were in Halkidiki, the town is lovely lots of shops and restaurants. We mainly went there for the beach which was BEAUTIFUL, lovely sand, crystal clear water with fish swimming round in it, and the water is quite warm too. Some water sports on the beach and a nice taverna where you can buy drinks. You can hire 2 sunbeds and a parasol for 6 Euros, which was well worth it because it was baking there.
