I normally do the trip with no overnight stops and find it ok. If you plan to have 2 stops you should be able to manage no problem. Do make sure that you do book your channel crossing as it is very expensive if you just turn upby pedro - Halkidiki

Don't let the Euro crisis put you off coming to Greece.Just bring plenty of cash and tourist can draw out over 60 euros a day at cash machines.It is only Greek cards that are limitedby pedro - Halkidiki

The fur sold in the shops are not to keep people warm but to try and make them look good. Synthetic fur looks just as good as the real thing.by pedro - Halkidiki

Summer is on its way. I'll be driving back to Greece next month to spend the summer in Pefkohori. If anyone is over there I will be in my 'office' in Maki's in the old square most nights. Get the bus from kalithea to the bus station in Thessaloniki.It costs about 10 euros and there is no need to change. You then get a taxi to the airport that costs between 15-20 eurosby pedro - Halkidiki

Had a great dive today at Porto Valitsa with Bubble Adventures Halkidikin and Karla. The water is getting warmer and wa svery clear. Some of the group just did snorkeling while we divedby pedro - Halkidiki

The weather in October can be changable.The days tend to be still warm but the nights can get chilly so jackets for the evening is a good idea. There is also more chance of getting some rainby pedro - Halkidiki

The trouble with the forcast here it will depend on what one you look at. At the moment it's very hot around 30c. This time of year if you do get rain it's usually a good thunderstorm for a few hours then the sun come backby pedro - Halkidiki

Get a taxi from the airport to the bus station.Tell the driver it's the Ktel buses that go to kassandria you want.The taxi costs around 12 euros.At the bus station get the bus to Kalithea costs about 10 euros. The conductor calls out the names of the stops so you don't have to worry about missing it. It's a direct run so you don't need to change busses. Once you get to calais you can get down to Ancona in around 20hours just stopping for fuel,food and to stretch your legs.It's then 15 hours on the ferry to Greece. Far better though to drive slower,stop more often and see some of the countries that your driving through. read the previous posts to get an idea of the different routesby pedro - Halkidiki

As David has said there are many routes that you can take depending how long you want to take and how cheap. The fastest route but the most expensive is through France. If you want to use the drive as part of your holiday and take your time miss out France and go through Belgium and Germany.Switzerland has some stunning countryside but you do have to pay for a sticker for your windscreen and doby pedro - Halkidiki

Hi Paul. Have a look at Michelin route planner. It lets you choose things like fasest,shortest route,avoid tolls,motorways etc.It then gives you a choice of some routes and you can print out a detailed routeby pedro - Halkidiki
