Hi Val I have frequently brought olive oil home from Kalkidiki as presents for foody fans (it's often from Crete!) and have never asked or worried about it. You can actually buy it at the airport on the way home if you wish.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki

No, we get one of the boys (Billy or Perry) to organise a cab for us. They use a firm from Thessaloniki - last year 70 euros each way.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki

.Hi Rosemary The hotel has been upgraded over the last couple of years and the best way to see the rooms is to look on their website - www.haniotivillage.com - the suite shown there is the one we had last year and I believe that Perry (one of the owners) has reserved it for us again this year. It consists of bathroom with jacuzzi bath, sitting room with sofa bed and bedroom with orthopaedicby shirls&baz - Halkidiki

Hi Edge Not sure if this is going to help or not but there is a lovely restaurant on the front (we call it Georges' but not sure if that is the proper name) it is practically the last one, if not the last one, before the pier/jetty. We try to go there whenever we stay in Hanioti. Last year there were 3 of us and we had fresh cooked cod (the waiter brought it out from the fridge to show us)by shirls&baz - Halkidiki

Hi David Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding, you've picked a great spot for your honeymoon. I don't know about trips to the Greek Islands but there is a travel place just off the main square in Hanioti which arranges day trips etc., including boat trips to Mount Athos to see the Monasteries (sometimes dolphins follow the boat), various cruises - fun and sunset etc also trips to theby shirls&baz - Halkidiki
