Do we get our euros now - 11 years ago
Going to Halkidiki at the end of June and not sure whether to get our euros now when the rate is up and chance that they don't change the currency or leave it until closer to the date. Any ideas?by jomiem - Halkidiki
Re: Halkidiki Holidays who's will be there ? - 14 years ago
Couldn't agree more Sarah. We're off to Pefkohori in 12 days time for a week and then like you, again for 3 weeks in August. It was a choice of either do up house or return to our paradise. No contest. Pefkohori every time. Can't wait.by jomiem - Halkidiki
Re: Hanioti Vs Pefkohori - 14 years ago
Couldn't agree more ian. Pefkohori wins hands down everytime for us. We find Hanioti very commercialised. We like to sit and relax and watch the world go around and can do that very nicely anywhere especially in Mamos or Paul's in the old square. 23 days to go and can't wait for our 7th visit since 2003. Stayed last August for 3 weeks and was so chilled out by the time we got home we're doing itby jomiem - Halkidiki

Pefkohori - 15 years ago
Just booked for 1 week in May staying at Aloni. Couldn't wait until August when we will be coming out for 3 weeks staying at Ioli Village. Will be great to see many friends we have made over the years of going to Pefkohori, again. Wondering if Paul's Place has been sold. Had many a Mythos here over the years. Anyone know? Roll on, 6 weeks to return to our paradise. Can't come quick enough.by jomiem - Halkidiki
Re: pilalidis - 15 years ago
Just returned from a brilliant week in Pefkohori. Previously stayed at Pilalidis twice with Thomas Cook but this year as unable to find holiday there with any travel agent booked in to Ioli Village which was just as lovely. Talked to locals in Pefkohori and they say no British travel agencies are using Pilalidis now. The hotel only want Greeks there. (That's the story) The food at the El Grecoby jomiem - Halkidiki

Re: Transfer to Pefkohori - 16 years ago
Received message from couple who you arranged a taxi for last year from Thessalonika airport. Wondering if you still do this and if so how much. We are arriving on August 11th this year and returning to UK on 1st September, staying in Pefkohori. Can't wait. Thanks in advance and am looking forward to hearing from you.by jomiem - Halkidiki
pefkohori in August - 16 years ago
Fell in love with Pefkohori first in 2003 and been back many times since. Booked flights and hotel ourselves this year instead of booking packaged holiday arriving in August and staying at Petridis Hotel for three weeks. Not sure if its cheaper to book transfer on internet before we go or trust to luck when we get there. Any information will be gladly received. Big hello to Kate and everyone at Pby jomiem - Halkidiki

Re: Aloni apts and general Pefkohori info - 16 years ago
Just come back from Pefkohori and already having withdrawel symptoms. Been visiting for several years and have enjoyed every holiday there, not wanting to come home. Stayed at the Aloni two years ago and had excellent time there. Rooms are basic but sufficient for what you need. Rooms were cleaned every day so couldn't ask for more. There are many good tavernas to eat but found the El Greco tavby jomiem - Halkidiki
