Haven't used TC in years. Best way is to either take cash, or if you don't like that way think of getting a Nationwide Flex Account. You get the highest rate (the business rate), no charges and there are ATMs everywhere. You only get free transactions in Europe now though, if you wanted to use it outside Europe it will cost 1% each time, but then generally you get above 1% more on the exchange rate used.
We find this the best way of getting money in Greece and getting a good exchange.
