The village of Nea Flogita was founded in 1923 by refugees that came to Greece from Kappadokia in Turkey, and has a population of about 1,200.

Located in a privileged position, on a hill, just a few meters from the sea. It is only half an hour from Thessaloniki, the capital city of northern Greece, and five minutes from Nea Moudania, the commercial center of Halkidiki. The hotels, flats and rooms offer all the facilities and comforts that someone would like to have during their vacation.

There are long paved roads for walks,while a variety of either quiet family Greek taverns, cafes, bars and night clubs offers the real taste of holiday making in Greece. The local market offers a large variety of traditional and modern products.

 

Bus services from Flogita to any destination in Halkidiki or to Thessaloniki are frequent during the summer season. Archaeological sites are within reasonable distances and excursions are organized daily from the village. Local people are warm hearted, friendly and always welcome you in their own special way. Once you come to Flogita you will surely want to come back again.
