look at bikerbabe and other replies to your message they obviously took your reply the same way as I did. Maybe you just have a weird sense of humourby pedro - Halkidiki
Re: Trance music in Pefkohori area? - 15 years ago
The masked avenger sounds like a jerk and obviously has never been to pefkohori. the place is packed with touist from all over Europe. The bar at Porto Valitsa plays some cool music and ther are many beach bars that play a selection of music. Can't say if it will be to your taste thoughby pedro - Halkidiki
Re: Diving near Afitos? - 15 years ago
There is no diving in the afitos area as the sea is shallow and has a sandy bottom. All the good dive sites are to the south.have a look at www.odysseydive.comby pedro - Halkidiki
Re: Pedro the diver, question for you - 15 years ago
Hi Jane. They are baby cassiopia. they will grow to the size of a large dinner plate over the next couple of months. You will be pleased to know that they are harmless and do not sting so you can get as close as you like. If you look closley when they get bigger you can see small fish living around the tenticlesby pedro - Halkidiki
Dolphins - 15 years ago
We went on a dive trip to kelifos/Turtle Island with Odyssey dive Club. The diving was great no other divers around. We did two dives and on the way back we had dolphins follow the boat. the water is about 25 on the surface now. We also did the snorkle trip to the tunnels and cavesby pedro - Halkidiki
Re: Litter - 15 years ago

Re: Can you recommend anywhere? - 15 years ago
Thet aeollis in Pefkohori is a nice family run hotel about 50 mtrs from the beach.I'm not sure what travel agency uses it.by pedro - Halkidiki
Scuba diving and rubbish - 15 years ago
Today we had two great dives with Odyssey Dive Club at porto Valitsa. It was spoilt by the amount of filth that we had to walk over on the beach. Most of the rubbish was off course plastic bags and water bottles. We took away over 1000 Ltrs of rubbish. This cannot be blamed on the tourist as there are not that many here yet.As well as on the beach in the bushes there were empty beer bottles and cansby pedro - Halkidiki
Re: suitable areas - 15 years ago
I would try Hanioti. It's next to the sea has night life and quiet areasby pedro - Halkidiki
Re: Litter - 15 years ago
Myself and all the divers at odyssey dive club clean the beach above and below water whenever we dive.We find that the biggest problem as everywhere is the plastic. It kills all kinds of wild life.Take it home and put it in a bin that goes not just for holiday makers but for those that live hereby pedro - Halkidiki

Re: Simantro Beach Hotel - 15 years ago
The sea is shallow and safe with hardly any tides or currents. There are walks that go through the woods to the resort of sani a few Km's away. They use to have a small bus to take you to the town of Kalitheaby pedro - Halkidiki
Re: easyjet flights - 15 years ago

Re: Simantro Beach Hotel - 15 years ago
Nice hotel but very remote. It's on the beach surrounded by forest. The beach is sandy and safe. I do believe that it's 90% German last time i was there so it may be worth checking.Unless your German of course in which case it will be fineby pedro - Halkidiki

Re: easyjet flights - 15 years ago
I have travelled by easy jet.I checked in the night before as the flight was early in the morning and went through customs as soon as it opened around 3:30 so missed the crowds. The flight was good. As for the price the earlier you book the cheaped it is.Do watch out for extra cost like hold baggage. I paid only 50 euro's for a flight with BA and that includes a meal and hole baggage.
