General discussion and questions about Halkidiki.
Re: angelo studios hanioti halkidiki - 15 years ago
Yes I have and found it quite good. There's lots of entertainment in the Angelo and just a short walk from the beach. Shopping for food is good as there are supermarkets, but clothes shopping etc is limited. hnioti has loads of eating and drinking places, so you will have plenty of choice. July would be too hot for me. I've been to Hanioti in May, September and early October. .by Rosemary - Halkidiki

Re: Pella Studios - Pefkohori - 16 years ago
I have been trying to contact another hotel in Hanioti too but I know they shut up completely for the winter, so I won't expect a reply til May roughly. Good luck.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: Pella Studios - Pefkohori - 16 years ago
pellahouse@homail.com Why not email them and ask them which tour operator they are dealing with this year. Good luckby Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: GREAT NEWS Halkidiki closer to UK with EasyJet from £27.99 - 16 years ago
Good news about Easyjet. It seems that XL are not flying into Thessaloníki this year which would have a real knock on effect on the resorts of Halkidiki.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: Horseshoe bar - 16 years ago
Thanks for the info about the bar. I knew they moved back to the city for the winter, but last time I spoke to Nic, he was contemplating something else and I'd wonderd if they'd moved on. Glad to hear they are still there.by Rosemary - Halkidiki

Re: HANIOTI, CALYPSO HOTEL - 16 years ago
This was taken from an earlier thread on the subject. Hope its useful The Calypso Hotel was pretty good ... the rooms are basic but do include a fridge, tv, hairdryer and mini safe, which was more than I was expecting! The en suite bathroom just has a hand held shower, basin and toilet, but it's cleaned regularly and serves its purpose (couldn't get used to throwing toilet paper in the bin thoby Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: hanioti - 16 years ago
We did a boat trip that claimed you'd see the dolphins, but they were so far out at sea, we needed to use our binoculars to spot them, and even at that they were still far away from where the boat went to. I wouldn't rely on getting close to them.by Rosemary - Halkidiki

Re: weather in september - 17 years ago
Fab, Fab, fab. Its the very best time of the year to go there. Just ask any of the hoteliers, bar owners, etc. We've been twice in Sept, once in May and once in very early Oct.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: calypso and hanioti review - 17 years ago
16 is a difficult age wherever you go. Since you are already booked, then she'll just have to make the most of it. She should be grateful she has the opportunity of having a holiday. Perhaps she'll be fortunate enough to meet people of her own age and interests. Calypso is nice tooby Rosemary - Halkidiki

Really getting to the annoying stage now. I thought that with registering etc, this would cut the cr4p down. Not so!!!!!! All these saddos in the guise of joke telling, want to get themselves a life, or a real job at the least, instead of posting their drivel on here.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: September weather - 17 years ago
Yes, would still be warm enough in September. We've been as late as 4th Oct and still got on beach.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: Excursions/Trips - 17 years ago
There are no places to swim with the dolphins as far as I am aware. You have to be lucky to even spot them on the dolphin cruise as they are often so far away in the distance.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: lifes bar - 17 years ago
As alanapp said, its the last road which leads to the beach or the main road. Its at the main road end and adjacent to the now closed down Olympic Lakis (which i believe have plans to re-open)by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: BLUE SKY HOTEL. - 17 years ago
If you care to read the previous postings, you'll see that I have seen the Blue Sky when I stayed at the Angelo. As stated already, both look directly on to each other. Blue Sky is sandwiched between Pegasus and Angelo.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
Re: Any nice cocktail bars in hanioti? - 17 years ago
My favourite cocktail was the "Frozen Black Irish" served in "Love Street" sport bar right on the square. Vodka, Kaluha, Bailleys, doulbe cream and ice cream!!!! Mmmmmmm fantastic.by Rosemary - Halkidiki
