General discussion and questions about Halkidiki.
Re: Buses from Sarti to Thessaloniki - 12 years ago
To the best of my knowledge there are three KTEL stations in Thessaloniki: KTEL Chalkidikis (to which you will arrive from Sarti) KTEL Thessaloniki in the city of Thessaloniki - it has buses to Athens, to Turkey, to Bulgaria, so probably your bus departs from there too, though I have no idea. KTEL Makedonia - on the other side of Thessaloniki as opposed to KTEL Chalkidikis, from hereby Zaharova - Halkidiki

Dear Dasa, The only thing I am sure of is that you cannot catch a bus to Prague from the bus station to which you will arrive from Sarti. It is KTEL Chalkidikis station and it serves only destinations in Chalkidikis + buses to Thessaloniki.by Zaharova - Halkidiki
Re: bus transportasion from Thess - 12 years ago
KTEL-Chalkidikis bus station, from which you can go to Sarti, is located on 9 km National Road Thessaloniki - Chalkidiki. It is a short taxi ride from the airport. The bus schedule can be found on this website in the section "Routes". Have a nice trip!by Zaharova - Halkidiki

Re: polichrono - 12 years ago
I cannot say anything definite about the cheques, but there is indeed an ATM in Polichrono! At the side of the main road right before it turns into the village and goes down to the beach if you go from Thessaloniki direction.by Zaharova - Halkidiki
Re: Anyone form the U K going to Halkidiki 2011 ? - 12 years ago
You can get to Kriopigi by bus, but it's not that easy. From airport your best option will be to take a taxi to Thessaloniki bus station, located some 7 km away. From there you can try catching a bus to Kriopigi. Check this link for bus schedules: You can buy bus tickets on the spot. However, when we were in Halkidiki last year we failed to find a bus which would arrive at the station on time.by Zaharova - Halkidiki
Re: FERRY FROM THESSALONIKI TO SKIATHOS / SKOPELOS - 12 years ago
Dear Allen, I have been searching for this ferry myself for the past couple of days Here is what my search has yielded: 1) a ferry from Thessaloniki to Skiathos is scheduled to be operated by NEL Lines since mid-July to mid-September. It departs from Thessaloniki to Skiathos on Sunday and from Skiathos back to Thessaloniki on Saturday. So a daily visit is out of the question, and if youby Zaharova - Halkidiki

Dear Sakis and the Family, Thank you immensely for the wonderful time my friend and I spent in your restaurant during hot and sunny Kriopigi afternoons! You have made us feel truely at home and welcome, especially with that soup of yours, which constantly reminded me of my grandma's. And, please, accept an additional bow of honour to your lively Greek Night, full of music, dancing and joy (foby Zaharova - Halkidiki
