Re: Car rental Pefkohoro - 4 years ago
It looks like it... just been online and there is a good review which has been answered by Sakis of the ‘Manolas’ family who used to run Kriopigi cars, so a name change or update. I will be using them later this year and I also know that a couple of years ago when someone posted a request for a wheelchair in Hanioti, he delivered one for a week free of charge.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: Car rental Pefkohoro - 4 years ago
Try Kriopigi cars, family run I believe. Sakis who owns the company always used to post a weekly weather forecast on this site. He’s very helpful...by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: Travel from Thessaloniki to Chalkidiki - 4 years ago
It’s a very long way to travel by bus to Chroussou Bay (Paliouri) it would mean several hours return journey.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki

Re: Wedding Photographer - 5 years ago
Hi Ella I have a friend who has a photography shop in Hanioti and does private functions. No guarantee that he can do it obviously as I only see him when I’m there I fly out on 9th June) but I’m sure I can get his number if you’re interested and get no reply from Emilia. Re: Medusa Hotel Kriopigi - 5 years ago
Hi Sakis Lovely to hear from you but sorry you’ve been made redundant, we always looked forward to hearing about the fab weather before our holiday when normally in the grip here in England of either, rain, snow... who knows? Coming over in June (25th visit) to Hanioti and will come over to see you if possible. Sadly, lost the Baz part of the email a while ago, life goes on and he has someby shirls&baz - Halkidiki

Re: Vow renewal marriage blessing - 6 years ago
Hi there Have only just come across your post. Does your blessing have to be carried out by an official? Also, where exactly is where you are staying, I don’t recognise the name? Not sure if I can help but I know a couple of people who might be able to. Regardsby shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: Car rental Paliouri - 6 years ago
Hi RR Try Kriopigi Cars, I believe they cover the peninsula and are popular with returning tourists. They have a website of the same name. Family run, used to be Sakis but not sure if it still is. Good luckby shirls&baz - Halkidiki

Re: Transfer from airport to Psakoudia - 7 years ago
Hi For the last couple of years, I have used a firm called 'Hoppa' who are extremely reliable and for an adult from Thessaloniki to Hanioti where I stay, it is approx £50 return. Check them out, I'm sure that they will do one way too.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Jet2.com - 7 years ago
Jet2.com have just added a load more hotels In Halkidiki flying from various regional airports including Leeds, East Midlands, Newcastle etc. I was in Hanioti last week and showed them around my suite in the Hanioti Village Hotel. Check out their website, it's all good news for tourism over there.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: taxi price, thessaloniki to polichrono and back? - 7 years ago
The original thread is over three years old now. Try the Hoppa shuttle bus/coach. Very good and reliable. I have used it a few times now. They pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel and reverse when going home. This year it cost me just over £50 return from the airport to Hanioti whereas a taxi is roughly €180 return.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Hello - 7 years ago
Hi Pedro/Roy Nice to meet you finally and put a face to the name. Can't believe how wet and cold it is here, no wonder I go to Halkidiki every year. Enjoy the rest of your season whilst I freeze.... Shirls xby shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: Pefkohori - 7 years ago
By the way, Ertan You can get a bus from the KTEL bus station to Hanioti. Make sure if you do this, that it's the direct route, we did it one year, taxi to the bus station €16 euros and about €10 each to the resort. We caught a bus and it took three hours around all the villages, fascinating but we were too tired to enjoy it properly. That was about 5 years ago though.by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: Pefkohori - 7 years ago
Hi Ertan Sorry for the late response, have just returned from 18 glorious and very hot days in Hanioti. I got transfers from the airport to Hanioti and back with a shuttle bus service called "Hoppa" very good, very reliable and just over £50 return. They pick you up door to door so to speak. Hope this info isn't too late. Enjoy your holiday, I'm jealous...by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: bus service from Sarti to airport Thessaloniki - 7 years ago
Hi Annemie For the last two years, I have used a shuttle bus called "Hoppa" they pick you up from your Hotel/resort and take you to the airport. Return journey for me from the airport to Hanioti and back was approx £50 instead of 90 odd euros each way in a taxi. Try their website for a quote. Good luckby shirls&baz - Halkidiki

Re: Pefkohori - 7 years ago
Hi Anne-Marie Weather should be ok at this time of year, getting better all the time, possibly still a bit chilly in the evenings. I stay in Hanioti and in the square is a travel agents called Bros Travel (not sure if there is anything in Pefko) I know you can go diving from there. Bros travel offer trips to Mount Athos and days sailing (small yacht no more that 10 people) both of which I haveby shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: 2015 - 8 years ago
Hi Pedro Not at all jealous.... Much. Still, this time next week, I will hopefully be packed and ready for my early morning flight Tuesday morning, so in eight days time, I shall be in Hanioti! Might run in to you.......by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
Re: 2015 - 9 years ago
Hi Pedro Thanks for that. Baz and I have done that before and it was great fun (and much cheaper) but unfortunately it wouldn't be so great on my own. Are you the Pedro from the diving school? Regards Shirlsby shirls&baz - Halkidiki
2015 - 9 years ago
This is the time of year when spring is hopefully around the corner and thoughts start to turn to .....summer in Halkidiki!! Have booked 2 -18 June and am looking to try a shuttle bus service that I have found online - A2B Travel Extras which for me will be about a quarter of the return cost from the airport to Hanioti. Does anybody have any experience of this service?by shirls&baz - Halkidiki
