can anyone tell me what the exchange rate is over there? is it better than in england,at the moment its 1.10 euro to the £1.

Hi, The exchange rate is pretty much the same as it is in the UK. I use a nationwide flexaccount card which does not charge you for cash withdrawal's abroad so this is a good option as you can make withdrawals as and when required without the need to take over loads of money and lose out if the rate changes whilst you are away. Not to sure about the tattoo shops!!

Just a note, the Nationwide card is brilliant, but is now only free in Europe. So no worries for Greece, but if you plan to go outside Europe you now get charged 2% on every withdrawal.
