just heard on radio there's a virus sweeping greece how bad is it ? what sort of virus is it?is it likely to last long or is the story on the radio being blown out of proportion?it worries me as i am going to halkidiki with my sons in a few weeks time.are there any locals that can help? thanks

we're leaving for hanioti on the 6th of may so far there doesnt seem to be any problems .i've looked on the travel advice site and theres not much on it,just says its a virus with flu like symptoms and no need to worry.they seem to think it will have passed within the next few days.just tell you to make sure you wash your hands and practise good hygiene.
so hopefully it'll be ok
